Weddingmania!

My big brother got married on Saturday!
It was so exciting, and the day went pretty smoothly.
The Bride and Groom have been together for 12 years so they didn’t exactly rush into things... I'm lucky though that I've had her as a sister growing up, I've known her since I was 8.
I was a bridesmaid (the one in sunshine yellow), I loved the dresses. They were very 1950's style, and the mix of colours really suited the day.
The Bride looked beautiful, in a heavily embroidered bodice with pearls and diamante entwined in flowers, and a full, slightly shorter than norm skirt. She had a matching head piece and bracelet made to coincide with the embroidery on her dress so everything was perfect.
Bridesmaids had white roses, and the Bride had a bouquet of yellow, orange and pink roses to match the dresses. The buttonholes were also white roses, whilst the groom wore the multicolours.
The day started off with sunshine, it was lovely getting in the wedding car with the sun beaming down, and arriving at the church with the flowers glowing and everyone looking excited.
However, when we left the church to go to Penarth for photo's it started to absolutely tip it down! Out came the big wedding umbrellas and hoisting up the dresses! I think it all added to the romance though, just look at the picture of them walking down the pier together with the rain glistening.
The sun decided to shine again when we got to the reception and we had a great time! A Bollywood dancer had been hired to come and teach us all to dance Bollywood style. It was fantastic, everybody got up off their feet and many smiles and laughter were had. Everyone was still sober at this point and managed to be enthusiastic and give it their best shot.
I feel a little sad looking back now that it's all over. It's all my entire family have spoken about for at least two years. What worries me most now is will we actually have anything to talk about or was the wedding the only thing we had in common? I'm sure we will soon find out.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs!
